That‘s why way back in 1984 President Ronald Reagan decided Americans should celebrate National Ice Cream Month every July. The third Sunday of every July — this year it is July 20 — was designated as National Ice Cream Day.
Vanilla is the top choice for favorite ice cream flavor. Almost one-third of ice cream lovers prefer vanilla ice cream. The second most favorite variety of ice cream is chocolate, chosen by 10 percent of ice cream fans.
